BACKGROUND
Robert A. Kearbey is a shareholder of the firm based in the Washington, D.C. area. Mr. Kearbey’s practice is devoted to affordable multifamily housing finance. He represents lenders and GSEs in multifamily housing transactions, with a concentration in Tax-Exempt Loan and Tax-Exempt Bond structures involving 4% Low-Income Housing Tax Credits. Mr. Kearbey’s national transactional experience is exclusively lender-side and encompasses the full arc of the transaction, from loan application through asset management. He is known for a pragmatic, detail-oriented approach and a commitment to closing transactions efficiently while maintaining the rigor these deals demand. Mr. Kearbey received his J.D. degree from Washington University in St. Louis in 2002 where was an editor of the law review, and his B.A. degree from Drury University in 1999 where he played collegiate soccer.
