Hunter M. Sutterfield is an associate of the firm in the Austin office. Mr. Sutterfield represents commercial mortgage and national institutional lenders in multifamily real estate transactions, with a focus on affordable housing. His practice centers on construction and permanent financing through the Freddie Mac TEL Program which utilizes tax-exempt bonds, low-income housing tax credit, Section 8 and other project-based rental assistance, state and local incentives, layered public and private funding sources, and ground lease structures. Mr. Sutterfield’s prior experience includes representing governmental housing entities in multifamily affordable housing and real estate transactions. He earned his B.A. degree from Texas Tech University in 2018, and his J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2021. Mr. Sutterfield is licensed to practice in Texas.
