He received his B.S. degree in Economics and Minor in Spanish from Brigham Young University – Idaho, Rexburg, Idaho in 2006 and his J.D. (summa cum laude) from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law in 2014, where he served as a staff member of the UMKC Law Review and as Student Editor-in-Chief of The Urban Lawyer.
