Complementing its core practice, Gilmore Bell also acts as underwriter’s counsel and bank counsel in public finance transactions.
We are seeking an IT Director to join our Kansas City office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set objectives and strategies for the IT department to support the objectives of the Firm.
- Oversee all aspects of information security, including risk management, incident response, compliance with relevant cybersecurity regulations, and data protection.
- Lead a high-performing IT team that is highly responsive, collaborative, and customer-centric.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify and prioritize potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Select and implement suitable technology to streamline internal operations, optimize their strategic benefits, and minimize risk.
- Design and customize technology systems and platforms to improve customer experience.
- Plan the implementation of new systems and provide guidance to IT professionals and other staff within the organization during the implementation process.
- Review, analyze, and approve purchase of Information Technology equipment and software and establish partnerships with IT vendors ensuring their adherence to firm’s security standards.
- Oversee the technological infrastructure in the Firm to ensure optimal performance.
- Direct and organize IT projects.
- Monitor changes or advancement in technology to discover ways the Firm can gain competitive advantage.
- Analyze costs, value, and risks of IT to advise management and suggest actions.
- Maintain virtual environment.
- Maintain telephony systems.
- Maintain and design network architecture.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4 year degree in information technology, or associated field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10 or more years related experience
- Advanced knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure
- Experience designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementations
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting, and business operations.
- Strong strategic and business mindset.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
