GilmoreBell is one of the leading public finance firms in the United States with an extensive tax and arbitrage rebate compliance practice. The Firm is seeking an accounting analyst with 3-7 years of experience. The accounting analyst is expected to perform a variety of daily, weekly, quarterly and/or annual accounting tasks under pressure of deadlines and general supervision. Essential skills include advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge; proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications; experience with enterprise level accounting applications; understanding of GAAP and accounting principles. The qualified candidate should have the ability to communicate confidently & effectively, verbally and in writing; should be inquisitive, driven, flexible and responsive; have strong organizational skills, effective time management skills & the ability to multi-task; ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction to accomplish objectives; ability to work as part of a team; strong attention to detail. Applicants should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field and 3-7 years’ related experience. An advanced education with either an MBA or CPA would be preferred but not required. Preferred expertise includes Microsoft Access or SQL experience; ProLaw accounting application; working knowledge of database structures & querying techniques.
