Thomas B. Becker is a shareholder of the firm in the Kansas City office. Mr. Becker has practiced primarily as a public finance attorney since 1979, but he has also had significant experience in the areas of structured finance and general corporate law. In the public finance area, he has served as bond counsel in a wide variety of tax-exempt and taxable financings and has also represented governmental issuers, purchasers, borrowers, trustees, credit enhancers and underwriters in numerous transactions. Mr. Becker joined the firm in 1998 after more than twenty years of practice at Stinson, Mag & Fizzell. He is a member of the Missouri and American Bar Associations and the National Association of Bond Lawyers. While in law school, Mr. Becker was a Note and Comment Editor of the Missouri Law Review. Prior to entering law school, he served as an officer in the United States Navy.
